Shih-man Weng
Taiwanese pianist Shih-man Weng who had performed in Europe, Asia, and America makes every one of her performance unique and colorful.
Shih-man has been enjoying performing as a soloist and a chamber musician since her early ages. When she was 14 years old, Shih-man performed in “Junior Original Concert” and “Yamaha Highlight Original Concert” presented and sponspored by Yamaha. Following these significant performances, she started playing solo recitals in several different venues of Taiwan. Also, attending festivals such as Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Wiener Saal from 2010 to 2013 and playing for competitions took her performances to Austria and Norway.
Shih-man was awarded the second prize of Churchill Scholarship Competition in 2013, and the first prize of the same competition in 2014. She also won the Piano Honors Competitions of Boston Conservatory for four years in a row.
She participated masterclasses by Jorge Luis Prats, Frederic Chiu, Robert D. Levin, Oxana Yablonskaya, John O’Connor, Choong-Mo Kang, Jerome Rose, Ju-Ying Song, and Frank Heneghan.
In 2011, she moved to Boston, United States to pursue her undergraduate studies at the Boston Conservatory under the guidance of Ya-Fei Chuang. Graduating with honors recently, she is currently preparing to start her Master of Music degree at the Boston Conservatory.
