About

Extending from standard classical repertoire to new music and their own creative arrangements, Accentrio presents colorful and engaging performances. The three members bring unique perspective and sound originating from different nationalities: Japan, Taiwan, and Turkey.

Accentrio is comprised of three rising solo performers - Shih-man Weng, Ayça Çetin and Katsuya Yuasa - who decided to join forces to form a chamber group while they were studying at the Boston Conservatory. Each member has extensive performance experience and has won competitions such as the 2014 Yamaha Young Performing Artist Competition and 2015 Boston Woodwind Society Competition. They have performed in national and international conventions and festivals, such as National Flute Association and British Flute Society, and individually have performed in countries such as Austria, England, Italy, Norway, Kosovo, Turkey, United States, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Japan, and Taiwan.

Striving to deepen musical appreciation and share their dynamic creativity, Accentrio performs at a variety of venues for diverse audiences in the United States. Currently, they are preparing for a midwest tour in the next season while continuing their graduate studies in Boston and Florida.

"These three hugely talented individuals from diverse backgrounds have combined to create unified and compelling musical performances of rarely heard gems. They speak different languages, but they all share the language of music, and their enthusiasm is infectious. Accentrio is virtuosity tripled!"
